Are students indoctrinated?

Some students ask the instructor the question: why do we have to skip this chapter? The answer is : this is for the standards of the state. The benchmark is test that make sure every student meet those standard. Indoctrination is the method the government control the eduction. The students are told of what to learn; the teachers are instructed of what to teach. Are they indoctrinated in order to be subservient to their superior?

Well, you could think of that way. However my opinion of indoctrination is when the government forcefully wants to teach children about ethics or how to love their leaders. Students are not indoctrinated to follow this rule in school.
