God is inhuman
In Night , Elie claims that anyone who is indifferent is in human. However , his novel explains why God treats Jew with his justice. First , Jews neglect Mose the Beadle 's effort to warn people. Second they have to go to the concentration camp to pay for their sin. Only, Elie is the survivor simply because he is sympathetic toward Moshe. Finally, God is silent and refuse to response to their pray.

I don't understand how God is acting inhuman. It's true that he is not listening to their prayer and it's as if he is doing nothing about it. However, it's hard for me to comprehend based on the fact that he is inhuman. He was being indifferent if that's what you mean. I think that he was punishing the Jews for their mistakes but that's my opinion.
